Charl Stenger

Charl is South African Orthotist Prosthetist registered with the South African Health Professionals Council (1998), the Dubai Health Authority (2011), the Dubai Healthcare City Licensing Board (2012) and the Healthcare Authority of Abu Dhabi (2018). He has held licensing from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (2004) and the Qatar Healthcare Licencing Board (2003)

His experience in the Middle East has included a short stint managing Orthotics and Prosthetics Services for the Saudi Military Hospital and prior to that developing O&P Services for Saad Specialist Hospital in Al Khobar.

He joined Mediclinic Middle East in November 2012, and commissioned Mediclinic Orthotic Prosthetic Services in the UAE as part of the group’s goal to all round care. While managing these responsibilities I have travelled extensively throughout the GCC providing Orthotic & Prosthetic consultation.

He branched off in June 2019 and set up OrthoMENA. He now practices independently from OrthoMENA Orthotic and Prosthetic Centre in Dubai. He holds a special fondness for this market and enjoys the melting pot of diversity and exposure it has to offer. The company has a driving goal: to bring the highest quality fabrication and clinical care to providers in the region.
Charl has a keen interest in active rehabilitation and is drawn to a truly holistic approach that often epitomizes orthotic prosthetic care. He sees the biggest advance in orthotic prosthetic care not only in the improved communication pathways between disciplines but also, just as importantly, in collaboration with partners that offer specialized manufacturing capabilities.
