Dr. Yusuf Albustanji is a consultant speech language pathologist and rehabilitation quality improvement coordinator at JHAH. He is a PhD graduate from The Ohio State University and he is an ASHA certified clinician with more than 20 years of experience in providing clinical evidence-based speech-language and swallowing therapy services. Before joining JHAH he worked as an assistant professor at United Arab Emirate University. He is a researcher with post-doc research publications in Neurocognitive communication disorders. He developed among others the first Arabic large scale study on development of an Aphasic battery for Qatar / Eastern Arabic with Qatar University. He is the first recipient of the Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal’s Jerry Moon Award for the best reviewer for the year 2014-2015.
