Raquel Neves

Raquel Neves Ph.D MsN CRRN RN has over 17 years of clinical and academic experience in the stroke field. She is at the moment the Director of Nursing at Almoosa Rehabilitation Hospital (KSA) and an Adjunct Faculty for Health Science Faculty at the Higher College of Technology (UAE).

Prior to this, Dr. Neves worked in the UAE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Portugal. She holds a specialization in Rehabilitation and a doctorate degree in Stroke Recovery and has been a co-author of Chapter 7 – Post-Acute Stroke Care, part of Comprehensive Review for Stroke Nursing, 2nd edition from AANN (USA).

She has been an expert reviewer for:

• Clinical Practice Guidelines: Spinal Cord Medicine” Paralyzed Veterans of America
• Core curriculum of 8th The Specialty Practice of Rehabilitation Nursing

In addition, Neves serves on the Board of Directors for the American Rehabilitation Nurses Association (ARN, USA), is an active member of the Simulation Committee and Neuro Rehabilitation Committee of the European Stroke Society (Europe), and is the founder of the Emirates Nursing Rehabilitation Society.
